How to Brew
Brew like a queen with our Royal Kombucha No1 & No2
10g Royal Kombucha Blend Tea
500ml boiling water
½ cup sugar
1250ml cold water
250ml starter kombucha
Now let’s brew;
Boil 500ml water & add ½ cup sugar (stir until sugar is dissolved)
Place 10 grams Royal Kombucha loose tea blend into tea infuser & add to above water/sugar mixture
Let brew for 3-5 hours (flavour is developing & nutrients for your scoby are being infused)
Once completely cool add 1250ml cold water & 250ml starter kombucha
Crown your brew with your scoby, cover with breathable cloth & secure with a rubber band or string
Place in a warm dry place away from direct sunlight for at least 10 days. (24-27 degrees is perfect).
Remove your scoby and one cup (250ml) of kombucha you have just brewed for your next batch.
For Plain kombucha – strain, bottle & place in the fridge.
For flavoured fizzy kombucha it’s now time to second ferment.
2nd Ferment Instructions
Choose your flavours
Add your chosen fruit / herbs/ spices / flavours to the unstrained kombucha
Place cover back on and let brew for another 2 days.
Strain, bottle & place in the fridge.
